General Discussion / Re: File exchange between Hugin and Netica
« on: August 05, 2010, 15:55:39  »
Thanks anyway. The worst case scenario is that we manually rebuild networks in Netica (or Hugin). I hope we don't need to do this often though.

General Discussion / File exchange between Hugin and Netica

We have both Hugin and Netica deployed in our institute. How can we convert a Hugin model to a Netica model, and vice versa? It seems GeNIe can open and save both formats. It is unstable, however. Conversion is often incomplete.  What else can we try? Thanks,

Jerry

Bayesian Networks and Influence Diagrams / The book is very good.

This is one of the few books on Bayesian Networks. As a beginner of BN, I find this book quite useful. t could be used as a textbook. I haven't finished the reading yet.

General Discussion / CDVT function can not be activated, why?
« on: August 04, 2010, 11:50:42  »
I read the Help, and the FAQ which explains the situation. But I can not fully understand them.
Here it is what was said in the FAQ, "The button becomes "non-grey" when a pair of "legal" nodes are selected, i.e., one continuous node and one interval node including intervals with both -oo and oo. "

Now I have a .net file with two nodes, one is a continuous node C with distribution (0,1), one is a discrete node D (interval type). When I select the two nodes, the CDVT button is still grey, so is the menu item under Network>Analysis. Why? What does it mean, "one interval node including intervals with both -oo and oo. "?

Anyone can help? Thanks,

Jerry
