Title: Is there an example available for XOI Loss model analysis?
Post by: ipomoea on April 16, 2011, 22:27:02
Hello,

I have been trying to locate an example for using the XOI Loss model analysis feature but other than the description in the manual, I am unable to find any other information related to it. I would to explore its use for my prototype models and a step-by-step example would be helpful. It appears that the options are always greyed out, so I must be missing or omitting an important step after model development.

Thank you.

Arthur

Hi,

The XOI Loss model is described in
"Risk quantification: management, diagnosis and hedging" (2006) by  Laurent Condamin, Jean-Paul Louisot and Patrick Naïm, Wiley, ISBN: 978-0-470-01907-8

To enable the XOI dialog you need to select three nodes; one for exposure (X), one for occurrence (O) and one for impact (I). You need to make sure that the nodes have the right subtype.

I have attached the "car accident" example used in the documentation.
